Kick-off of the CDP PowerAlps

On Tuesday 6 June, after several months of work in a restricted working group, the first event bringing together the PowerAlps community took place at the G2ELAB.

It was a day of training, discovery and sharing: after the opening by Valérie Perrier, Vice-Chair of the Grenoble INP Scientific Council, the 65 participants were able to discover the different aspects of the project through presentations by researchers and PhD students.

In the afternoon, guests were able to learn about power electronics through three different workshops  : one on eco-design in PE, one covering converter components, and the third on a photovoltaic application. During the breaks, the guests gathered around posters of their research, fuelling discussion on all facets of power electronics.

This first PowerAlps day brought together the expertise of the Grenoble area and built an interdisciplinary scientific community around power electronics. See you at the next event!
