Introduction

Our site uses cookies to improve your user experience, measure the audience for our site and ensure that the site functions properly. This policy explains what types of cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit our site. Cookies enable us to recognise you on future visits and to collect information about your use of the site.

Types of cookies we use

We use various cookies to measure the audience and integrate services to improve the interactivity of the site.

  • Essential cookies: these cookies are essential to ensure that the site functions properly: Tarteaucitron stores your consent choices, which are kept for 6 months.
  • Audience measurement cookies: we use the Matomo audience measurement tool, a French tool that collects and analyses your data relating to visits to our site in order to continually improve the information provided. The Matomo tool enables the data collected to be hosted locally on a university server.  Matomo does not transmit personal data to third parties. It installs cookies, text files placed on your computer which collect personal data enabling it to provide only statistical data on visitor numbers (number of pages viewed, number of visits, visitor activity on the site and frequency of return).
