Work packages

POWERALPS will contribute to the achievement of two of the five axes of the UGA's strategic plan :

• Meet the challenges of the future with courage to help develop a sustainable and resilient society by addressing a key technology for tomorrow's low-carbon energy, tackling all the associated challenges, and moving from university research to transfer to industry (methodologies, proofs of concept, etc.)
• Build a regional, national and international strategy together with our partners by promoting Grenoble Alpes as a leading environment for research, engineering and education in power electronics, with a strong link to industry, thereby strengthening our national and international visibility. Grenoble has built its reputation on energy ("Houille Blanche", i.e. hydroelectricity) and nanoelectronics, and the next step will be power electronics.
