On 2, 3 and 4 June 2025, the Grenoble Interdisciplinary Scientific Days will be held at the Maison de la création et de l'innovation - MaCI. The event, which is open to the entire Université Grenoble Alpes community, will showcase the UGA's 21 interdisciplinary research programmes, known as CDPs (Cross Disciplinary Programs), including the PowerAlps project.
Jean-Luc Schanen, principal investigator, presented the PowerAlps project in front of the Vice-President of Research, Philippe Roux, the other CDP leaders and the participants present.
The presentation covered the organisation of the project, its developments over time and the diversity of the scientific areas covered. We highlighted the key events we have organised and co-organised, as well as the outreach of the Grenoble and Lyon site, both nationally and internationally. The main scientific results were presented, along with an analysis of our strengths and areas for improvement. We also shared the prospects for continuing the work underway. The questions asked at the end of the presentation were both pertinent and engaging, and opened up an interesting exchange on the strategic place that power electronics could occupy in future government funding programs.
We would like to thank the UGA and the organisers of the Journées scientifiques interdisciplinaires for this initiative.
